The Newman Club
The Newman Club is the student organization of the TSU Catholic Newman Center. Comprised of undergraduate students of Texas Southern University. Its purpose to enrich the lives of each other and fellow students through academic excellence, spiritual nourishment, fellowship and being faithful stewards of their college community.
Young Adult Catholics of African Descent
Y.A.C.A.D.
Create a sense of community and build a spirituality of communion among Young Adult Catholics of African Descent (YACAD) in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

Provide resources and programming that cultivate, enhance and edify each member’s Catholic identity, empowers them to discern God’s call and share their faith with others.
​
Provide opportunities, training and support for YACAD to become lay, ordained, and consecrated religious leaders at the parish and archdiocesan levels.
​
Provide opportunities for YACAD to live out their faith through community service and civic engagement.

The 1st Collegiate Unit was established at Xavier University of Louisiana and continues to shine the light of Claverism across the campus. With over 40 Knights and Ladies the unit's members are active and involved in many leadership roles, events, and activities across the university and city.;
